Happy Thanksgiving

While I’m not your typical holiday-loving person where I count down the days until a holiday or transform my home into a holiday haven, I do enjoy the holidays. I never really make plans nor do I have any traditions that I really follow, yet. (I can’t wait to create my own one day when my feet are a little more planted.) To be honest, it’s usually a last minute game-time decision on where to go, what to do, and who to spend it with.

You see, my family didn’t really do much growing up and over the years, we’ve all been living our own separate lives and have had some shakeups in our structure. Nothing to be remorseful about, it is what it is. But I long for the days where I have my own traditions and celebrations to follow. Until then, I’ll continue to hop around to the different homes and families that welcome me in to join them in their own traditions.

Whether we talk often or our paths have only crossed briefly, you matter and I’m thankful for you and the value you bring to my life and this great big world of ours. Happy Thanksgiving!

People are the best part about the holidays, but food is up there too!
