I woke up at 3:30am to head to the airport to catch a flight to Orlando via Chicago. Yet here I am, almost 17 hours later, sprawled out on my friend’s couch after a delicious meal (it was everyone’s first time making a turkey), content and, surprisingly, not cranky.

I’ve never had Thanksgiving traditions, but I’ve always enjoyed the holiday (and the two days of vacation that comes with it :)). St Lucia, visiting family, hosting visitors, being invited to a friend’s house–it’s always been a holiday that’s treated me well.

I might just have a new favorite holiday. To all of my friends and family, near and far, thank you for your friendship, for your love and for your support. Big hugs!
